When Johnny was still a child, his family moved to Dyess, Arkansas, a farming community established for struggling families. Life there was far from easy. His breakthrough came quickly. Songs such as I Walk the Line and Folsom Prison Blues became massive hits. Audiences were drawn to his deep voice, honest lyrics, and unique style. Before long, Johnny Cash had become one of the biggest names in country music.
