Born February 28, 1948, in Pennsylvania, Wolgemuth became one of the most influential figures in evangelical publishing over more than four decades. After graduating with a degree in Biblical Literature from Taylor University in 1969, he led major Christian publishing houses and co-founded his own literary agency, Wolgemuth & Associates, which represented more than 100 authors.
As an author, Wolgemuth wrote more than twenty books that sold over two million copies worldwide. His work ranged from family and faith-life classics like She Calls Me Daddy and The Most Important Place on Earth to devotional contributions in the Menโs Daily Bible. Several of his books received prestigious awards from the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association.
Wolgemuth was also known for his partnership in ministry with his wife, Nancy Leigh DeMoss Wolgemuth, founder and lead teacher of Revive Our Hearts. The couple married in 2015 and served together in various ministry efforts, encouraging believers through writing, speaking, and discipleship. He is survived by Nancy, two daughters, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren; his first wife, Bobbie, preceded him in death in 2014.
